Shortly after the siege of Sarajevo was lifted in late 1995 and sniper alleys lost their deadly charms, news coverage died out. Every once in a while there would be a story about the unearthing of another mass grave site or the capture of someone bound for the Hague War Crimes Tribunal… But what about those who survived? How was the war impacted their lives? At the time, I felt that the world was beginning to forget... and forget fast. Youth of Sarajevo: After the Aftermath is my humble contribution to increasing awareness about this tragedy, which consumed my country, and its effects on young people... those who didn't choose war, but still had to deal with it.
