An American soldier, Devon, falls in love with his innocently charming Arabic interpreter, Marwa, in Iraq. He helps Marwa resist the force of her father, Salam, and survive the atrocities and cruelties of war. In the last moments before they're to meet again, their love is put to the test, as are their ideals.
